ILLOVO POINT BUILDING UPDATE - 23 OCTOBER

Illovo Point is a sectional title office development currently under way. The building is situated on Rivonia Road in the suburb of Illovo, midway between Sandton and Rosebank.

Luciano Zanette and Christiaan Britz from Anvil Property Smith paid Illovo Point a site visit, to showcase the exceptional 360? views that all offices within the building will be enjoy. Over the following 12 month, Anvil will bring you updated information on the progress of the development.  

The construction site is currently 7 stories above ground, where the commercial space will begin above the retail and parking components of the building.

Interesting facts on Illovo Point’s construction thus far include:

• 22 700m² post tensioned slabs have been casted.
• 640 tons of rebar have been used in the concrete structure.
• 9 300 cubes of concrete have been casted in foundations, slabs, beams and columns.
• 40 000 cubes of soil have been excavated to create the basements.
